*Note: As of September 1, 2015, a user must attend appropriate Workday HR training prior to requesting the Workday roles of HR Partner and/or HR BPI. If proof of appropriate training completion is not submitted along with the Security Role Request Form, the roles of HR Partner and HR BPI will not be granted.

This curriculum is for HR BPIs (Business Process Initiators) who support multiple employee types in Workday, including Staff, Faculty, Student and Temporary employees. Workday Manager Core Training (MCT)

 

Training Type: CBL

This two-hour online module provides the knowledge and tools necessary to utilize the Workday system as a Manager. In Workday, you'll be able to: Initiate and approve transactions, including: Hiring and Onboarding, Promotions, Transfers and Compensation Changes; and Complete Performance Appraisals (if applicable). This course is highly recommended for those with a Manager Role in Workday.

Workday: Hiring Process for Student Employees

This one-hour online module explores the student employee life cycle, focusing on the Workday hiring process for student employees. You will examine the characteristics of the primary job and how it differs from an additional job, as well as review tips about error messages and additional resources.

Workday: Leave Management

 

Training Type: CBL

In this 75-minute module, you will explore different types of leave, and the roles the Leave Coordinator, Manager and HR Client Services Manager play when it comes to Leave Management. Demonstrations include real-life scenarios such as initiating a Leave of Absence in Workday on behalf of an employee, how to delegate an employee’s Workday Inbox, and how to request the return from a leave of absence on the employee’s behalf. Finally, this module provides useful tips, reminders and links to policies.
